Malcom Moffat 1980

Malcom attend BBGS from 1944 until 1949.

The following years were spent in the Treasurer's Department at Barrow Town Hall and National Service in the R.A.M.C.

Malcolm joined Southampton Police in April 1953 and transferred to the Met. in September 1956. In 1981 he had risen to the rank of Detective Chief Superintendent via the Special Branch which he joined in 1960 dealing with matters relating to National Security and the protection of British Ministers and visiting VIPs.

Malcolm also served in the Anti-Terrorist Branch during the Irish Terrorist Campaigns of 1973/74 and 1979/80.

He lives at Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, with his wife and three daughters, and his outside interests include fell-walking and horse-riding.
