Next Lunch Wednesday 19th June - all are welcome

The next Old Barrovians lunch is to be held at Abbey House Hotel, Abbey Road, Barrow on
Wednesday 19 th June 2024 at 12.15 for 12.30.

Bookings should be made please by Monday 10 th June by ringing one of the receptionists in my office
on 01229 820930 or by e-mail to angela@winders.co.uk.
Deposits of £10 will be paid for you in advance but may need to be reimbursed in the event of your
subsequent cancellation.
There is limited capacity in the Garden Room at the hotel reserved for our use and spaces will be
allocated on a first come basis.
The lunch will be followed by a committee meeting.

You are invited to join a walk led by our secretary Richard Scott.
“I can offer a welcome to The Walney Wellbeing walk for any OB’s who would like to join the normal
weekly group. Start time is 10.30am from The Roundhouse at Biggar Bank.  We walk down Ocean
Road to The Prom, past Jubilee Bridge and on to Mill Lane, crossing the Island to The Fort, over
Furness Golf Links and back to Biggar Bank along The Greenway, finish about 11.40am. Time for a
coffee at The Roundhouse before the OBA Lunch”.

Our next lunch will be on Wednesday 20 th November 2024.

It is not practical to circulate all members so please pass on the news of the lunches and AGM.
